Another big part of the reveal was that PS4 players will not have access to external source material. The announcement confirmed that Fallout 4 Mods would be launched, but only after work on the Skyrim Remastered is complete. However, Bethesda marketing VP Pete Hines has been hinting in the past weeks that some kind of compromise was being worked on and has now confirmed that Skyrim Remastered and Fallout 4 PS4 Mods are set to be launched, although differently to Xbox One.

The studio were forced to announce earlier in 2016 that they were unable to provide the feature, due to a disagreement with Sony over certain distribution issues. It was recently revealed that Mod support will be coming to PlayStation 4 for both the Skyrim Remastered Special Edition and Fallout 4, a big announcement that will have many fans breathing a sigh of relief.
